John Harris
Managing Director
John Harris currently serves as Managing Director with The Coral Gables Trust Company. He has more than 28 years of wealth and investment management, trust, private banking, commercial lending and financial and estate planning experience. John’s career highlights include positions as Senior Vice President, Private Banking Manager and Senior Lender with Northern Trust Bank; First Vice President and County Wide Group Manager with SunTrust Bank.
John has worked with a full array of affluent and high net worth individuals, families, foundations and institutions. He has a very value-based and collaborative approach to the business. John very much enjoys working closely with his clients and their advisors in order to make sure that everyone’s collective efforts are aligned to meet the client’s overall objectives.
John has extensive involvement with Florida, National and International based professional, community and charitable organizations such as, The Real Property Probate Trust Law Section, The Elder Law Section and the Tax Section of the Florida Bar, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners,  The Florida Justice Association, The Dade Trial Lawyers, The Attorney Trust Officer Liaison, The Broward Estate Planning Council, The Miami Estate Planning Council, The ACTEC fellows program, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, The Coral Gables Bar Association, The Coral Gables Community Foundation, The Coral Gables Chamber, The International Wine and Food Society and the Georgetown University Alumni Association. His leadership roles include committee and board positions, and he was recently appointed to STEP Miami Board of Directors and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami's Board of Directors.
