John Harris has more than 30 years experience managing trust and investment services and private banking. Additional areas of expertise include financial and retirement planning, directed trusts, and family office services.

John’s career highlights include positions as Senior Vice President, Private Banking Manager and Senior Lender at Northern Trust Bank; and as First Vice President and County Wide Group Manager with SunTrust Bank.

As a financial advisor, John has worked with a full array of affluent and high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and institutions. He has a very value-based and collaborative approach to the business. John very much enjoys working closely with his clients and their advisors in order to make sure that everyone’s collective efforts are aligned to meet the client’s overall objectives.

John has extensive involvement with Florida, national and international based professional associations, including the Real Property Probate Trust Law Section, the Elder Law Section and the Tax Section of the Florida Bar; The Miami Chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (where he serves on the Board); The Miami Estate Planning Council (where he serves as Treasurer of the Board); The Broward Estate Planning Council (former President of the Board); the Florida Justice Association, the ACTEC fellows program, the Dade Trial Lawyers, and the Coral Gables Bar Association (where he serves on the Board).

He is also active with community and charitable organizations including the Coral Gables Community Foundation (where he serves on the Board), the University of Miami Citizens Board (where he serves on the Board),  The United Way of Miami-Dade County (where he is a member of the Professional Advisor Committee), The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, the International Wine and Food Society and the Georgetown University Alumni Association.
