Mr. Cardenas is President and CEO of VITAL, which was formed to
educate and support the insurance needs of the undeserved Hispanic community. He is nationally
recognized for his leadership in law, business, and politics. He is recognized in The Best Lawyers
in America and has been named one of Washington DC’s top lobbyists by The Hill. MR. Cardenas
is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell and was named one of “The Most Influential Leaders in the
Latino Community Today” by a number of leading national publications. He is widely known in
national and state political circles. He previously served two terms as Chairman of the Republican
Party of Florida and three consecutive terms as its Vice-Chairman. Presidents Ronald Raegan and
George H. W. Busch chose Al for various prestigious roles. Mr. Cardenas is a former Trustee of
Miami Dade College and was named to its “Hall of Fame”. He has frequently appeared on network
television, including NBC, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, Telemundo and Univision, and is an opinion
writer for a number of national publications. Al received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall
University and his Undergraduate Degree from Florida Atlantic University. He also serves as a
member of the Company’s Trust Investment Committee, Marketing Committee, and Succession
Planning Committee.
