Michael currently serves as Senior Vice President and Investment Officer of the Coral Gables Trust Company. Michael is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner which he completed at The University of Miami. Michael is a graduate from The University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology along with a minor in Business Administration. He successfully completed the challenging Level 2 exam for the Chartered Financial Analyst professional designation. Unger serves as the Chairperson for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Miami. As a leader of the board, Unger is part of a new generation of financial planners who are dedicated to participating in elevating the profession, as well as promoting financial literacy and education to our underserved communities. He is active with the University of Miami’s Citizens Board and the Miami ‘Canes Community.

Michael worked for a boutique investment firm in South Florida, providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management for high-net-worth clients, retirement plan sponsors, and retirement plan participants.
