Coral Gables Trust, one of the fastest-growing independent, privately held trust companies in South Florida, has named William M. Fox, CFP®, as Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager. Based in Palm Beach, the 20-year wealth management veteran joins the firm following the opening of its Bankers Row office and as it surpasses $4 billion in assets under management and advisement.

Based at 350 Royal Palm Way, Fox will support the firm’s expanding Palm Beach client base as more individuals and families establish full- and part-time residences in the area. He will advise clients on complex wealth management, trust and estate planning, business succession, and multigenerational wealth strategies.

“Palm Beach continues to be an important growth market for Coral Gables Trust, and William’s appointment strengthens our ability to serve the increasing number of clients who live and do business here,” said Richard DeNapoli, CEO and President of Coral Gables Trust. “His experience advising multigenerational families, business owners, and entrepreneurs makes him a strong addition to our team.”

Fox brings more than 20 years of experience in wealth management, trust administration, and tax and estate planning. He most recently served as a Private Wealth Advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Chicago, where he was part of a team managing a $1.8 billion ultra-high-net-worth advisory practice.

Earlier in his career, Fox held leadership roles at BMO Private Bank, where he founded the Healthcare Professional Services Team and co-led the Law Firm Group. He also served as a Trust Officer within J.P. Morgan Chase’s Estate Settlement Unit and began his career at Ernst & Young, advising clients on fiduciary tax matters and complex trust, estate, and gift-planning structures.

Fox also brings firsthand experience as an entrepreneur, having co-founded and served as CEO of a medical technology company that he grew from the seed stage to more than $10 million in annual revenue before its acquisition. That experience informs his work today with business owners navigating succession planning, liquidity events, and family office governance.

Fox earned his Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College and completed the Certified Financial Planner™ professional education program at Northwestern University. He holds the CFP® designation.

Coral Gables Trust’s move to Bankers Row in May 2026 gave the firm a larger presence in one of the nation’s leading wealth centers as it continues to grow its local team and client base. The firm serves clients from offices in Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach.
